The Ludovic Creator Interview

A conversation with AI Artist Ludovic Creator, aka @LudovicCreator on X

INTERVIEW CONDUCTED ON SEPTEMBER 23, 2024

ALL IMAGES BY LUDOVICCREATOR ARE GENERATED USING A MULTITUDE OF AI TOOLS, TOO NUMEROUS TO LIST HERE

Meet LudovicCreator, a visionary AI experimenter, digital scientist, and true jack of all trades whose creative journey is defined by his boundless curiosity and desire to push the boundaries of Artificial Intelligence. As a beloved member of the AI community on X, Ludovic has earned a reputation for his generosity in sharing prompts, techniques, and insights—an open invitation for others to explore their creative potential.

A true Prompt Creator, Ludovic uses only text to craft his imagery, showcasing the limitless possibilities of AI tools like Midjourney. He often shares the full creative process, posting prompts and the four outputs generated, encouraging others to take his foundation and innovate further. His themes are as diverse as his imagination, ranging from animals and mythical beings to breathtaking landscapes and intimate, evocative scenes. Ludovic’s approach isn’t confined to a single style—anything goes. His artistic ethos revolves around colliding and mixing styles, resulting in stunning, genre-defying creations.

Beyond his main account, Ludovic manages a second account, CreatorLudovic, where he explores more personal and stylish imagery, often focusing on strikingly detailed portraits. While these pieces showcase his mastery, he keeps the prompts private, adding an air of mystery to his artistic process.

Ludovic’s work spans a spectrum of aesthetics: from bright neon colors that dazzle the eye to stark black-and-white compositions that evoke timeless elegance. He is drawn to themes like fallen angels and surreal, mythical subjects, yet his experimentation knows no limits. As he states himself, his passion is for “all possible forms of expression,” and his creations embody that philosophy.

A true innovator, Ludovic also experiments with the building blocks of language—tokens and words—using them as a playground to uncover new artistic possibilities. His ability to mix and match styles, both photographic and artistic, positions him as one of the most versatile creators in the AI space on X.

LudovicCreator’s art isn’t just about creating stunning visuals—it’s about exploration, community, and the shared excitement of discovering what’s possible when technology meets imagination. I am honored and thrilled to have him join us for this interview.

Let’s discover LudovicCreator together.

QT something Green

Without getting too personal, can you tell us a bit about yourself?:

My name is Ludovic, and I am a former chemical engineer. I love music, movies, diving. I also play and coach rugby teams.

Could you please tell us which country you live in?:

I live in France.

What led you to begin working with AI imagery?:

in June 2023, I was scrolling on Instagram and saw a post with an image created by my friend @GenIArt_Fr using Midjourney. I decided to join his Discord server and try the tool.

What AI tools do you use?:

The list is quite long, lol:

I use Midjourney, Leonardo AI, Freepik, Adobe Firefly, Remix AI, Sezam AI, Seelab AI, Dzine AI, Magnific, Rendernet AI, Domo AI, Runway, Kling AI, Pixverse, Haiper, Luma Labs, Suno AI.

It really all depends on what I want to create: images or videos.

What inspires you?:

In the beginning, a lot of neon art. Now, a lot of different things: fallen angels, black and white, all kinds of possible expressions. I really like to create many different things.

In which other medium, if any, do you practice art?:

None. I only do AI-generated imagery or videos.

Would you consider AI-generated art true art?:

I can’t really answer that as I am not an artist; I am just a creator in my mind. I have no art background and no photography background. All I do is pure imagination, practice, and learning.

Please share one or a few of your favorite images with us.:

Here are five of my favorite images:

Epic Fallen Angel

Do you title your AI-generated art? If you do, what inspires you to come up with these titles?:

Yes, sometimes I do. I share a lot of prompts on X, and sometimes I share more personal work. When just sharing images to express something, sometimes I use a title or a quote to express a feeling.

When do you tend to be the most productive, and do you work in long sessions or short bursts?:

It depends on my schedule, lol, but I mainly work with two different types of long sessions:

  • 1/ Long sessions for when I work on new prompts to share on X.

  • 2/ Long sessions for more personal work on images and videos. I spend a lot of time on personal stuff I do not share and won't share.

What type of prompts do you prefer: text or AI-generated descriptions through fed images?:

Text. I never use AI-generated descriptions through fed images. I think in the past 15 months since I started working with Midjourney, I used the describe feature maybe only 10 times.

When prompting with text, do you write simple text-based prompts or complex ones?:

I definitely can do both, but I would say that short prompts work very well using the correct tokens. I also like to do things differently; l love to work around imaginary words and imaginary tokens.

Do you think text-based prompts should be shared within the AI art community?:

I think it should based on personal choice, and we have to respect everyone's decision. I share a lot of prompts on X because I love to see how people transform them, and for the most part, I left them unedited, but I don't share prompts of very personal work.

What is the most unconventional method you have used to create an image?:

I use LLMs (Large Language Models) to brainstorm for my imaginary tokens and styles. After that, it's a lot of work to test them and refine them, and sometimes there are failures, too. My main interest here is to really try to push the boundaries of what we can do with AI, and that's why I feel like a creator.

How many images you have generated using AI technology?:

Around 75K images with Midjourney and more than 25K with other tools, since June 2023.

Please share your X (Twitter) handle with us.:

@LudovicCreator

I also have an alternative account, @CreatorLudovic, where I want to post only images and no prompts, but I can never find enough time.

Tell us a bit about your X handle and X username.:

I have the same handle and username. It is simply my first name, Ludovic, and Creator corresponds to how I feel in that AI space.

How many X followers do you currently have?:

At the time of writing, 16,500 with my main @LudovicCreator account.

How many X accounts do you currently follow?:

Over 1,900.

How long have you been on X (Twitter)?:

Since June 2023.

Is there any other online platform where we can view all of your previous work apart from X?:

I have an Instagram account, but I have no time to use it, so X is basically my portfolio.

In this world of cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), are you currently selling your digital art on any platform? If so, which platform are you using?:

No. I tried a few months ago but couldn’t find enough time, and since I don't consider myself an artist, it’s pretty difficult to make projections with that.

Are you selling tangible AI-generated artwork, such as high-quality prints like Giclée prints?:

I do on Eternitai, but I need to do much more there. Time is really a thing I struggle with.

Could you suggest some AI artists you like that we could follow?:

The list would be so long, and I don't want to upset people I consider friends in the AI space. I love everyone’s work personally, but I will suggest four people:

I have a lot of people I admire in the AI space, but those four are very important to me for personal reasons and also for the work they produce.

Is there anything else you would like to add or share with the AI community?:

I would like to remind everyone we are nothing without each other in the AI Art Community. I would like to remind people that even if growing on X is quite challenging and sometimes annoying and frustrating, you are all amazing in one way or another. Don't lose the fun of creating; be yourself, and do what you love to do. Your follower count doesn't define the artist you are; it's just a number; no one is better or more worthy than another; we are all different and unique.
